Many of us think that living in style is the only prerogative of those who live in huge villas or apartments. They can decorate their homes in the most stylish and expensive fashion. But it is not quite true! If you live in a small or very small house or apartment you can still decorate it in a stylish fashion and get the most of your house. Here is an extremely small apartment design that tells a lot about the owner’s sense of fashion, style and taste. This apartment has only 40 square meters of living space but it’s still very comfy and cozy. Before the renovation it was an open space with a one multi-purpose room. That room wasn’t zoned well but owners and a designer have managed to change that. Now we can learn from their work, there are some very interesting design elements that are quite innovative.
The best way of zoning is color. It’s really cool when one color can be found in different parts of the room but in various proportions. At this apartment the brightest part is the dining area. Its walls are colored in purple. As you can see the carpet in a kitchen, some upholstery and some small details in a bedroom and a bathroom share this color. This gives a continuous flow of color throughout the apartment. The kitchen is separated from the dining room with a sliding partition that doesn’t occupy any space but makes the excellent zoning job. This partition is in transparent glass and it doesn’t seem as if there is a block. The similar partition separates the bedroom from the living room. Cabinets in the living room have a large glazing area and look almost weightless. That makes the whole structure look like simple shelves but there isn’t any dust on books and other side inside.
Implement all these ideas if you have a small living space and it will looks much better and bigger. Besides it will become more cozy and comfy. The wooden flooring gives a warm feel to the whole apartment. Being a very small apartment this home uses the kitchen space for installing washing machine and hence you can use all the modern appliances in your home if you use the space intelligently. This home is an example of this thought. The clear dining table chairs again serve a purpose of not cluttering the house and giving a feeling of transparency.
